Certitude Christian College, 24537 Springvale Park, Ruwa, is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. This notice explains the information we collect through the website and school portal, why we use it, and how to contact us about it.
Information we collect
- Admissions enquiry details, including a parent or guardian's name, phone number, email address, requested entry level and message.
- Application and registration information supplied by families, including learner identity, education, emergency-contact and relevant health or support information.
- Portal records, including account details, class placement, academic results, attendance-related outcomes, notices and fee balances.
- Technical security information needed to operate the service, such as sign-in and server logs. We do not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies on this website.
Why we use it
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, process applications, provide education and learner support, communicate with families, administer the portal, protect school systems, and maintain academic and financial records. We ask only for information relevant to those purposes.
Children and sensitive information
Admissions information about a child should be provided by a parent, guardian or authorised representative. Health, disability, religious and educational information can be sensitive and should only be supplied where it is relevant to admission, safety, support or education. Access is limited to authorised staff who need it for their work.
Who receives information
Information may be handled by authorised school staff and by service providers that host or support the website and portal, currently including Vercel and Supabase. Google-hosted fonts may receive ordinary connection information such as an IP address when a public page loads. We do not sell personal information.
Storage and retention
Website enquiries are stored in the protected school portal. Enquiries that do not become applications are reviewed for deletion after 12 months. Application, learner, academic and financial records are kept according to the school's records schedule and applicable obligations. Hosting providers may process data outside Zimbabwe; the school remains responsible for selecting and managing those providers.
Security
We use encrypted connections, role-based access, individual accounts and database access controls. Families and staff should keep portal passwords private and tell the school promptly if an account or credential may have been compromised.
Your choices and rights
You may ask what personal information the school holds about you or your child, request correction of inaccurate information, object to particular processing, or request deletion where the school does not need to retain the record. Some records cannot be deleted immediately where they are required for education, safeguarding, finance or another lawful purpose.
